Story
Situation
Solo BD operator running outreach campaigns with a spreadsheet and no tracking layer. To build a Korean company pipeline, I developed a scraping tool that pulled attendee lists from AI conferences — companies that had already paid to show up were warm signals for our ICP. That gave us 283 prospects. But once the campaigns started, there was no way to know which batch performed best, or why. Campaigns were running; learning wasn't.
Task
Build a system that splits each send into a cohort, tracks the funnel automatically, and surfaces a four-way comparison — past vs. now vs. goal vs. industry — so every next batch is a deliberate change, not a guess.
Action
Shipped MVP in 3 days (React/Vite + Express + Supabase + Apollo API). Korean lead scraping tool built separately — AI conference attendee lists as ICP proxy signal. Batch-level metrics so each send is its own cohort. 4-way comparison view (past / now / goal / industry). Apollo replies and meeting events auto-update pipeline stages. Playbook Library turns every retro insight into a reusable card. Ran live cold outreach to validate: 24 sends, 21.7% open rate, 4.3% CTR, 1 partnership closed. Rewrote all outreach copy from English to Korean mid-campaign when early signals showed the language gap was hurting trust.
Result
Replaced spreadsheet tracking with a system where every insight comes from data, not memory. Korean company pipeline active. Every retro finding lives in the Playbook — reusable for the next campaign.
